The UK has lost 21,000 pubs since 1980, with half of these closures taking place since 2006. (IEA 2014)
Plume of Feathers is an album based on the decline of pubs in the UK. Its also about people -real and made up- who drink in pubs and uses the thread throughout of a Bristol pub that opened in 1775 and closed in 2013.
The tracks include an interview with a landlord and reference first dates, wakes, leaving do's, football fans, pub singers, mourning pensioners, gin palaces, gentrification and drug taking regulars.
